Ohh another year of West African Drumming!

Wow,

The last 9 years has gone by in the blink of an eye. I am amazed that I am still drumming. It was so difficult when I started. I loved it so much that I kept trying. I'm not a shredder pro, I know my limits, but the love of the rhythms keeps growing. I am excited to see my friends next weekend at DunDun Village.

It's special to me, the gathering. People I met so long ago in very different places still come together. How I became connected to this I chock up to faith. The belief that I am on the "right" path has led me to more and more supportive places, communities, like minds. The same people.

I Love You family! all the energies no matter how subtle, markers on my road to bliss. Acquaintances, confirmation that Im on the same wave.

Last DunDun Village (spring 2009) I really felt like these acquaintances might remember me. I felt like a facilitator. I helped bring all the ladies I drum with out to Morning Star Ranch to share the joy I feel at the Village. I planned Saturday night's meal, Quesadillas! it was so much fun for me! It was the first time I ever directed a meal to feed that many. Thank You to the ladies of Guinea Gbe (Arcata, CA) for helping me. It was a great and positive learning experience for me. It felt so good to share my enthusiasm through cheese & tortillas.

I am growing

Thank You!
See you next weekend,
Pa Ti Pa,
